Flannel Newsletter | February 2011
February 25, 2011
The fourth film in the BASIC series with Francis Chan releases this June.
If you have viewed the first three films, you know they have each featured a separate character searching for an understanding of who God is. In Fellowship, you will see the three characters begin to illustrate what church is designed to be, according to Scripture. In a way, this series is just the beginning! We think you’ll agree that the imagery and beauty of what you will see in the final four films in this series far surpasses anything we have produced to date.

An Update on Film Downloads
Beginning last fall, we began to offer our films as downloads. Apparently people are happy about this! We have been really surprised by the success of this digital format; in just a few months, downloads have become more popular than DVDs in our Flannel Store and have been purchased in more than 90 countries. This new technology has allowed us to share the way of Jesus with the world like never before.

Support Us on Facebook
While many of you are fans of NOOMA on Facebook, you might not know that we have pages for each of Flannel’s series. I invite you to check out BASIC and Ed’s Story on Facebook to receive the latest updates on those projects. Consistenly, Facebook is the #1 referrer to flannel.org. In an effort to reach into the Facebook world even more, we have started using Causes to help raise awareness and financial support for specific needs that Flannel has. Friend Flannel Staff on Facebook to be included on the Causes updates.
Our Staff
Occasionally you receive an email from “Flannel,” or perhaps you follow us on Twitter (@flannelstaff). I would like you to know just who comprises the Flannel staff.
Deb communicates with our donors, follows up with viewers who contact us, develops the Flannel Stories we share, and expertly assists me.
Jordan & Jena handle all our customer service needs and manage our warehouse.
Julie & Kathy take care of the business office.
Karen manages the creative team on all of our projects.
Joe is our technical guru. He builds and oversees our various websites, social sites, and has made it possible for you to see all of our films from your mobile device.
Joel & Mike make our films beautiful. Joel has edited every NOOMA since Shells, and has worked on our BASIC series since day one. Mike helps Joel in post-production and works on behind-the-scenes pieces and Flannel Stories.
Jon is our designer. He sits behind a giant Mac and makes beautiful things all day.
He has done great work branding our BASIC series and right now is working on our next series, Ed’s Story.
As always, thank you so much for your support of Flannel and our mission.
We couldn’t make these films without you.
